Give me time to reminisce.

Time has been real bad, covered huge amount of memories, cruel and fast. Nothing have ever stop time from traveling its own journey , we might have a pause but not a stop.
This would be a Little pause, this blog comes with heavy hearts of old memories of my teenage years on my high school (St Thomas, Residential High School, Umpling, Rynjah, Shillong). Now, to come across a friend who is now in Karnataka doing his Master of Science in horticulture, it was such a joy but out of nowhere i just felt that weird/awkwardness to be talking crazy like we used to and we ended up asking about studies, stages of life that we are in, but to my surprise he is in contact with other classmates from which i got some INfos about them and guess I am not surprise to hear that two of my classmates are married, they are awesomely awesome people, these people were like my brothers. We would wake up together early in the morning to study and accompanying others was just the best part of it. I did learnt so many things from them.. Its a medium size hostel with both boys and girls, its still running pretty well with the nicest Principal still rounding his speech all the time, fake birthday requests to get some money, but, i came to know that at the end of the year, the school would sum up the money along with our tuition and hostel fees.

As far as i can remember , our class room(class X) facing the valleys covered with wild cherry blossoms where we could see National highway through Jowai to Silchar(one of the busiest highway with trucks loaded with coal and other goods.)we could hear their engines roaring going uphill, this part of the year would be the end of January, early morns wake ups(chilly cold 3-4 am) to study, tension for exam and homesick looking out of the window are just mixed feelings being in the hostel. I usually make fun of the word 'Enthusiastic', but i can truly say I am enthusiastic about this one to be sharing.
This is the funny part of me, i have never talked to a girl properly while i was in High School, i had this fear/hesitating voice inside my head, to put it in better words.. i was a shy boy.
To talk more about this, i am not suppose to forget about the food that we used to get in hostel, weekends were like Christmas for us, every weekday's lunch would be vegetables either fried or boiled. So the most interesting food course would be Sunday: Breakfast-Chow(fried noodles with 1 boiled egg), Lunch- fried vegetables and dinner- chicken. This was the best of the best, some would wait for sunday and not eat hostel food on weekdays.
Laundry on thursday was one of the most annoying/terrible thing. I remember, i was putting on my new washed shirt, right after , i started feeling itchy, making lots of little swells all over my body which took some hours to disappear. Apart from that, school shirt buttons were always returned broken: FYI...If you happen to drive pass Rhino point where 101 army head quarters is located, on the way to Guwahati, you will see thousands of colorful school uniforms by the river from St Peter's and St John's....(these are expensive or highly standard residential schools), i am guessing thats the same laundry that we had in our hostel. Facts: Broken buttons- beating against the rock as part of the washing process and allergies/irritation caused by newly washed clothes- river water that runs in yellow/dark color. As to be in the hostel, we had no other choice. I should say, it was hilarious as well.

Thank you for reading, Before i start making no sense, i better make a decision to continue with this next time.

God bless, Great weekend.
